Padstow Chartered Surveyors
With over 30 years of experience offering first-class surveying services to clients throughout Padstow and the surrounding area, Hocking Associates provides a dedicated service designed to give clients all the information they need when considering a property for purchase. When purchasing a property it is essential that you request the assistance of an expert surveyor as they are able to complete a thorough assessment of the property in question, looking at all visible and accessible areas of the property, and listing any defects found.
Hocking Associates was established in 1987 and since then we have conducted detailed inspections on over 17000 properties in a range of styles and sizes. Operating throughout the entirety of Cornwall, we are an independent practice dedicated to providing in-depth and unbiased reports solely for the benefit of our clients.
About Padstow
Padstow remains a working fishing port but is a relatively small harbour, and the harbour itself is fairly tidal and therefore not always accessible. It nonetheless remains a popular holiday destination attracting visitors from far and wide who often base themselves in Padstow and explore the nearby resorts of Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Trebetherick, Rock and Port Isaac, which is of course famous for the television series Doc Martin and the home of the ever popular Fisherman’s Friends shanty singers. Padstow is also very much on the map of Cornwall due to the activities of Rick Stein, who has one of his restaurants by the harbour. Rock and Polzeath are particularly expensive coastal locations, with many properties valued in the millions and attracting buyers from London and the South East.
Services We Provide
Hocking Associates offers an extensive range of survey and valuation services. Drawing from a wealth of experience surveying everything from cottages to country manors throughout Padstow and the surrounding area, we offer professional, friendly advice. For those purchasing a property, we offer a detailed and bespoke Building Survey Report (Level 3).
Building Survey Report (Level 3) – A thorough report detailing the condition of all visible and accessible elements of the property. Both the interior and exterior of the property are inspected and advice is provided as to the extent of any defects identified and works required. This report includes photographs throughout which help to demonstrate the commentary and provide a useful record of the condition of the property at the time of purchase.
